Ascend concert

The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra’s “Ascend” concert is a one-night-only performance happening on 28 June 2025, held at the Marnkutyi Parirna Theatre in Gawler. This event is designed to be an uplifting and elegant evening of classical music, featuring a blend of well-loved and contemporary pieces.

The program includes Vaughan Williams’ The Lark Ascending, showcasing ASO Concertmaster Kate Suthers, along with Prokofiev’s Classical Symphony No.1, Jessie Montgomery’s Starburst, Strauss’ Serenade in E-flat, and Mozart’s Symphony No.35 in D, also known as the Haffner Symphony. Presenter Julian Ferraretto will guide the audience through the evening, offering insights into each piece and its composer.
